by A. Simplicity on January 18, 2010

In the meantime please consider those in need; and if you haven’t already done so, please give what you can to help those in Haiti. There are wonderful aid organisations on the ground now working to save lives and help and protect all of those devastated by this tragedy. Vegetarianism and Choice

by A. Simplicity on December 18, 2009

life journey

“Vegetarianism isn’t about fanatical personal purity, it’s about having some perspective. Move at your own pace; no one’s keeping score. Vegetarianism isn’t about scarcity, it’s about abundance. life journey

“The poverty of our century is unlike that of any other. It is not, as poverty was before, the result of natural scarcity, but of a set of priorities imposed upon the rest of the world by the rich. I understand that emissions’ trading scheme is being considered as a way to reduce carbon in the atmosphere and this is a good thing. I simply wish we would hear more about other ways of reducing our environmental impact as well.

blog action day

Much of the reason why the earth is in such a dire state could be based on the way we as a society have over the years detached ourselves from the living world and viewed nature as simply something we could control for our own needs. Unfortunately I feel ‘Climate Change’ is not only a consequence of this view but also a product.
